Wine is an ancient drink. The first such drink was made in the area between the Nile valley and the Persian Gulf. From small settlements, the process of winemaking spread as far as Europe following the growth and establishment of human civilization. Prosecco wine is produced in Veneto, an Italian countryside.. The region lies on the fertile side of the Alps. Early Prosecco wine had a sweet taste and was soft. Presently, their wine is sparkling dry; to the taste as per the standards of modern wines. This is a result of a process known as Charmant widely used by Prosecco producers.
The method used in making Prosecco wine involves double fermentation. After the wine initially ferments, it is stored under pressure in huge tanks and allowed to undergo further fermentation. The resultant product is a sparkling wine that is fresh and retains the grape flavor. In Champagne method, the fermented liquid is put in bottles. These must be turned on a daily basis. Prosecco producers no longer use this method. In any case, the final product loses its original flavor. The product is best consumed within a period of three years after production. If not, it can be preserved for a maximum seven years.
Majority of the Italian sparkling wine products come from northern regions of Lombardy, Veneto and Piedmont. The temperature is cool and ideal for growing wine-making grapes. They are mostly made using the method earlier explained. The final product is bottled while still young. However, such wines have a shorter lifespan but are low in alcohol and have a distinct crisp taste. With this in mind, the vintages of Prosecco wine are maintained to the highest possible standards of quality. Apart from cocktails, Prosecco sparkling wine, is a fine choice of summer wine that can be paired with seafood, salads and pasta very popular among Italian cuisines.
Prosecco wine is ranked among Italy’s best. The product range is wide and can be mixed with fresh juice. Venetians have a favorite cocktail known as Bellini made from peach juice combined with sparkling wine. Prosecco wine is widely used to make this cocktail. It is also ideal for appetizers otherwise known as “pick me ups.” When compared to other sparkling French wines or even those from California, Prosecco’s have come to prominence in restaurants in USA. Italian’s are renowned the world over for having some of the best wines in the world.
That Prosecco comes from Italian wine masters is in no doubt. In fact Italy has the best sparkling wine in the world in addition to being the worlds’ leading wine producer. Prosecco wine comes in variants and could be fully sparkling or lightly sparkling. The Romans enjoyed this drink which proves that Italians are experienced producers. Prosecco wine comes with brand diversity as well as an assortment of flavors. There are different flavors like honey, almond, citrus, lemon and melon. Prosecco owns vineyards where quality grapes are grown. Consumers are assured of great tastes and fresh flavors that they have always loved.
