Render farm - do it yourself?

Many of today's programmers, while they were children, dreamed of hardware able to take miracles and being so fast that each operation would be carried out quickly. Today, many designers have a similar dream, however with completely different motives.

This is because when you are young, your computer is mainly for entertainment and for adults this is primarily a work tool. So for graphic designers, ultra-efficient machine would serve primarily to create three-dimensional models and then to render them quickly.

The current widespread of knowledge makes it that almost everyone, supported by advice found on the internet can build a fast computer - home renderfarm. It would not only be independent from commercial farms, but also save time and money needed to send the project to the commercial ones. And if you achieve enough knowledge, you can also construct even a complete gpu renderfarm.

But in order to construct it, first you have to put quite lot of money, and then laboriously bond it all together.  It is therefore first to consider whether we truly need the home renderfarm, especially that it will be much slower than commetcial ones.
