National Holidays and Public Holidays Worldwide

Where people take time to enjoy, socialize and commemorate specific events that took place in their calendars in most if not all places of the world, these days are called holidays and are fixed to calendars variable but with effect.

Where people take time to enjoy, socialize and commemorate specific events that took place in their calendars in most if not all places of the world, these days are called holidays and are fixed to calendars variable but with effect. These are meant for people to celebrate or just take time to remember some happens in their country or the globe as a whole. Most of them are national holidays which are in fact clearly indicated on calendars or even may be recognized by constitutions and are therefore taken as law, while others are just taken with a little informality thus called public holidays for the general population.

In Some countries where there exists more than one religion, the public holidays are well outlined and are almost the same as national holidays, so that the country remains in harmony as the different religions mark the festivals on international public holidays. Some of the public holidays 2012 that will be marked in some of these countries include; New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year, Good Friday, Labor Day, Buddhist Day, Independence Day, Valentine’s day, father’s day, mother’s day and Christmas Day which are all recognized as public holidays and also some marked as National holidays. There are also some public holidays that are more so school holiday celebrated by some significant groups in the population in these countries although they are not recognized as their national holidays the likes of the national museum day, racial harmony day and valentine’s day.

International public holidays are mainly recognized by the world as whole and are mainly in association with the governments of many countries and are therefore placed at the position of national holidays, they are used by the people to remember some happenings that took place in history. Many of these public holidays are not only meant for celebration purposes but also to appreciate the magnitude of events and timeliness, common school holidays are marked to give the children the needed attention and mainly for child development the likes of children’s day, teachers’ day and youth day. Some national holidays are also reason for school holidays by virtue of the meaning of the day, Independence Day which is patriotic to everybody and has to be respected by all. Public holidays are meant to be observed under the countries policies and although they may vary in different countries, most businesses and public amenities have to be closed on these days as will be observed in the public holiday 2012.

Whenever you go to a country or may have been there and have not yet understood the dates and how the holidays are arranged, the internet and word of mouth would be useful in determining the way they are arranged. When dealing with employees or employers it would suit you to know when you leaves will have pay and when not, this will also play a crucial role in knowing how public holidays take effect and more so settle you’re your contracts and avoid disagreements in terms of work – this will save you time and money.
