Laser teeth whitening is far one of the latest procedures or methods available on market for whitening teeth. Here a wash out solution is applied to person’s teeth after that a laser is used to enhance the procedure to perfection. According to study the procedure takes one hour to two hours of which the results maybe around 93 percent. This procedure has been termed safe since it does not soften the patients enamel or any other living teeth fillings. The hydrogen peroxide used as the wash out in teeth whitening is mostly only 15 percent concentrated in the procedure.

Tooth whitening also well known as dental bleaching is a customary procedure in many dentistry hospitals mostly common in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Here there are different options to whitening teeth this include: The in-office bleaching, at-home bleaching and over-the-counter bleaching. The in-office bleaching is specifically applied by a professional dentist to avoid complications, at- home bleaching is specifically to be used by the patient while at home and over- the- counter is to be applied by the patient still. There are whitening products mostly designed or recommended for home use like gels, toothpastes, chewing gums and many others.

According to study there are two common procedures of gel bleaching of which one is done with a high concentrated gel, and the other one with a low concentrated agent. In high concentration bleaching whitening is performed by using a concentration of corrode agent to the teeth using thin plastic trays for a designated period of time by the dentist. This trays stay on the teeth for about 15 minutes and then they are removed again the dentist repeats the same procedure for like up to 2 times. In most office bleaching procedures they use a light better protective layer that is well applied at the gums and at the tip of the gums whereas the risk of getting the soft tissues burned. Here they use carbamide peroxide which after breaking down in the mouth forms hydrogen peroxide.

Low – concentration whitening is generally performed at home. It generally involves buying a thin mouth guard that contains a very low concentrated oxidizing agent just next to the teeth. This procedure goes on for a few hours of which it takes 5 to 14 days to complete. Power or light accelerated bleaching is also a common procedure in whitening teeth it uses light energy to enhance the process of bleaching. The source of energy should be high such that it excites the peroxide molecules basically not overheating the inside of the tooth. Everyone would like to have whiter teeth to look good, to look attractive or to impress other people. Study shows that most of the people today use the britesmile technique here they use gel and light whereas they don’t include laser at all. The light which actually comes from a lamp has been tested and found to be safe on the teeth.
